The Hebbagodi police have arrested a 36-year-old rowdy sheeter for allegedly assaulting a milk parlour owner and ransacking the premises over a trivial row over parking , in Electronic City on Sunday.
The accused identified as Tarun Chaudhury,a native of Bihar and into real-estate dealings was track down and arrested based on a complaint,filed by the owner of a milk parlour .
The incident occurred on October 9,at around 10 pm, Chaudhury forcibly entered the shop owned by Gopal HV, 42,at Electronics City (Phase II).
He came in a black Range Rover along with two of his bodyguards and entered the shop miffed and asked the people who is the owner of the shop .
As soon as he noticed Gopal,he asked his bodyguards for a stick,pulled Gopal and started beating him with the stick and slap and kicks.When the victim’s wife tried to intervene, the accused attacked her too.
“He warned us that if we parked the milk van in front of the shop,he would shoot us or run us over in his car.He also beat us up using his footwear,”The complainant said in the FIR.
A CCTV inside the shop recorded the incident went viral on social media.Apart from the attack,the video also showed the suspect kicking at his two bodyguards and punching one of them,who tried to calm him down.
The police booked Chaudhury under Sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt),126 (wrongful restraint),133 (assault or criminal force with intent to dishonour person, otherwise than on grave provocation),351 (criminal intimidation) and 74 (assault or use of criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the BNS for further investigations .The accused has been remanded to judicial custody.
