A 22-year-old post graduate student who had consumed rat poison at the Maharani college hostel and boarded the bus to her native Chikkaballapur last week succumbed at the hospital on Saturday.
The deceased identified as Swarna,pursuing MSC at Maharani college and living in the hostel was disturbed by the death of her father,three months ago .
Probe revealed that she was depressed about her father who had ended life over a domestic row and was not doing well in her academics since then.
Last week,she consumed rat poison at her hostel and boarded a bus to Chikkaballapur with a plan to go their native and die .
Upon reaching the place,the semi conscious swarna was shifted to the hospital where she succumbed .
The High grounds police have registered a case of un natural death and further probing to ascertain the possible reason for her extreme step .
