The Cyber crime police have registered an FIR against five persons for posting abusive comments on Facebook post on Supreme Court Judge over the “shoe attack issue “
Based on the complaint by Shreeshail Nagaloor,head constable with the cyber crime station,the police charged the accused identified as Kesari Nandan, Sridhar Kumar,Nagendra Prasad,Ramesh Naik and Manjunath MC charging them under section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form),66(Computer related offences) and 66(c) (identity theft) and also under section 352 (intentional insult with the intent or knowledge that it will provoke a breach of public peace) of BNS on Tuesday for further investigation.
One of the accused while commenting on the issue , supported the act instead of hurling footwear he should have done something like Godse,while the other he deserve it right,the complaint added .
The third one said abused the person who made him SC judge,which amounts to defamatory statement against the sitting judge and also attempt to provoke the breach of peace .
The police are now based on the complaint trying to track down the accused through their FB account to ascertain their background and the reason for posting such comments.
