Six,including two foreign nationals,arrested, and Drugs worth Rs.23.84 crore seized by CCB

Combined efforts of the CCB,South Division,and North-East Division wings of Bengaluru City Police,along with the Dog Squad and SOCO teams,led to raids at multiple locations across the city.

The Anti Narcotics Wing of the Central Crime Branch officials busted an international drug racket and recovered three kilograms of Hydro ganja worth Rs.3.8 crore which was landed in the international courier service in Chamarajpet on Monday .

Based on a tip off,a team of officials rushed to the courier service centre along with the canine squad and found the package concealed in pet food.

The officials checked the receiver address to Nagadevanahalli village in Chikkaballapur which was mentioned wrongly to avoid detection.

However the accused had mentioned a contact number and scratched it later which helped the sleuths to zeroing in on,Nazeer Mohammed,37,from Mallapuram in Kerala and his associate Rasheed MS,46,from Thalassery in Kerala who are monitoring the movement of the consignment through real time trackers.

Probe revealed that the accused have sourced the drugs from Thailand and Germany,paying the supplier through crypto currency.

Further search through canine squad revealed another drug consignment of four kilograms of hydro ganja which was landed at the courier office worth rupees four crores .

The CCB officials registered both the cases in jurisdictional KG Nagar police station under NDPS for further investigations.

The CCB officials have intensified the probe and coordinating with the officials of the other agencies to contain international drug smuggling racket using courier services.

In another case,the Kothanur police have raided an apartment in NG Gollahalli and arrested two women foreign nationals peddling drugs.The police have seized 4.8 grams of MDMA Crystals worth Rs.12 .03 crore from them.

City police commissioner,Seemant Kumar Singh, appreciated the police work and said that a total of 15.2 kilos of drugs have been seized in total five cases including one in Parappana Agrahara,two in KG Nagar ands one in Kothanur ,estimated to be around Rs.23.8 crores.

Elaborating on the statistics,Mr.Singh said from January this year,the city police have registered 711 cases and seized 1468 kilos of Narcotics worth Rs.81.2 crore and arrested 1013 peddlers and 35 foreign nationals involved in the racket .
