Two pickpockets nabbed by Wilson Garden police with using ‘Location’ feature on mobile phone recovered 7 stolen Mobile Phones Worth Rs.90000

Location feature switched on mobile helped the Wilson Garden police to track down two involved in serial pick pocket on moving BMTC bus on Saturday.

Following a mobile theft case from a passenger moving on the BMTC bus from Majestic to Banashankari,the police swung into action track down two accused and recovered seven stolen mobile phones from them.

The police tracked the location and rushed to the spot before zeroing in on two persons within hours who were moving suspiciously .

The police pinned down the duo identified as Kavadi Parashuram,34 and his associate Saathipati Premkumar, 19, from from Dhone taluk of Karnool district of AP.

Senior officer told reporters a team led by Farooq Pasha MG,inspector,said that the duo was habitual offenders used to come to the city to pick pocket in crowded buses.

They choose the most crowded route and travel and using their “skills”pick valuables and get down in the middle before returning to the majestic for the next trip .

After committing series of thefts,they would return with the booty and sell the stolen valuables at grey market , before returning to the city, he said .

The police are now trying to trace the owners of the lost mobile phones to to return their valuables .

This is the second such incident where using technology the police have cracked the cases.Few days ago a gang involved in series of house break thefts was arrested after a stolen pair of AirPods helped investigators track them through the Find My device feature.

Inspector Sadiq Pasha of Doddaballapura Police Station, who arrested the gang through the location,told reporters that even though the gang led by a woman, repeat offenders trained to carry out their activities and Police added that the offenders,reportedly trained during their previous jail term avoid by using basic tools to break in,walk barefoot to move silently, and use caps and scarves to conceal their faces and keep their phones offline to avoid detection.

However luck ran out when in one of the house break theft,they took away airpods,which helped the police to track them down to their location to their hideout in Kudlu gate .
