Trio including ambulance driver killed & 24 injured when a speeding mulling machine crashed into mini truck on Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway in Bangarpet

Three people including an ambulance driver was killed and 24 others were injured when a speeding mulling machine vehicle crashed into a mini truck on Bengaluru-Chennai expressway near Kalkere village in Bangarpet on Monday evening.

The impact of the accident was so high that the mini truck carrying catering staff toppled on the station ambulance parked near-by,killing the driver on the spot .

The Mini truck belonging to a catering company carrying around 22 staff was returning from a program.

Passers-by along with the police rushed to the help and shifted the injured to the different hospitals in Kolar,KGF and Bangarapet .

The deceased Ambulance driver identified as Vikrampal, who was parked the vehicle on routine duty.The canter driver carrying catering staff identified as Shivaraju, while the identity of the third deceased is yet to be ascertained .

Traffic on the busy road was disrupted for sometime and the police struggle to shift the damaged vehicles to a roadside to ensure smooth flow of traffic .

Senior police officials visited the spot and supervised the rescue operations.
