A 32-year-old woman working in a provision store as help,filed a complaint with the police accusing her male friend of blackmailing her with private videos when she demanded the money she lent to him,three years ago .
Based on the complaint,the Kamakshipalya police have registered an FIR against Swaroop Gowda and his associate Shoot Giri,a rowdy-sheeter charging them under section 74 (assault or the use of criminal force against a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty),(offence of assaulting or using criminal force against a woman with the specific intent of disrobing her or compelling her to become naked.),308 (intentionally causes fear of injury to a person to dishonestly induce them to deliver property,a valuable security),352 ( intentionally insulting another person with the intent to cause a breach of public peace or to provoke another offence) for further investigation.
The consequences,the victim pawned her gold jewels and paid him Rs.4.2 lakh again with a hope that the accused would return the money .
However when the money is not returned and her family started asking her about the gold valuables,she confronted the accused and demanded the money back.
The accused not only assaulted her publicly refusing to pay,he even enraged his friend GIri,a rowdy-sheeter to threaten her .
