AI-based billboards have been installed in the city in collaboration with Bangalore Traffic Police and Cars24.
These billboards scan the registration number of vehicles and display information like pending fines, PUCs, etc.in real time. This will help in preventing traffic violations and creating awareness.
Silicon City, the garden city of Bengaluru (bangaluru)is said to be a city of traffic congestion. People are tired of the traffic problem.
The Bengaluru Traffic Police is implementing many projects to solve the traffic problem.AI-based cameras already installed in the city are keeping an eye on those who violate traffic rules.
But now,AI -powered billboards have come a step further. This billboard displays information about your vehicle’s violations, including pending fines,in real time.
The Bengaluru Traffic Police has taken another bold step in using technology to create awareness among the public about traffic rules. That is,an AI-based digital billboard.
This AI-based digital billboard has been installed in Trinity Circle, one of the busiest areas of the city, in collaboration with Bangalore Traffic Police and Cars24. It displays information on traffic violations, including pending fines, of vehicles passing through this circle.
How does it work?
This billboard is equipped with state-of-the-art AI-based cameras that scan vehicle registration numbers from a distance of up to 100 metres.
In a matter of seconds,it will provide you with the complete horoscope of your vehicle from the national vehicle database.
This means that any pending e-challans, expired pollution control certificate (PUC) or other traffic rule violations will be displayed directly on the screen.Money Control reported on this.
This new experiment by the Bengaluru Traffic Police will motivate motorists to pay fines with awareness. It will also instill responsibility in them.
Speaking about this initiative,Gajendra Jangid, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Cars24,told reporters,”We are not only reminding motorists to pay their pending fines, but also educating them about traffic rules. This small effort will contribute to a lifeline.”
