Hours after stabbing his 28-year-old wife to death in front of her minor daughter in full public view,a 43-year-old who was on the run surrendered before the police on Monday.
The accused Lohitshwa,native of Shira,was married to the deceased Rekha,32,few months and moved to Bengaluru to work.Rekha worked in a private firm where she got him a job as cab driver .
The accused used to suspect her having affair and used to quarrel with her frequently .
On Monday when Rekha along with her younger daughter going to Jalahalli and waiting at the bus stop when Lohitshwa armed with followed her and stabbed her multiple times and escaped .
While the passers-by rushed the profusely bleeding Rekha to a private hospital where she succumbed later, the accused who was on the run later surrendered before the police,DCP, West Division,S.Girish,said .
Inquiries revealed that Lohitshwa was suspecting Rekha of having relationship with other men and in a fit of rage killed her.
The accused was taken into custody and further investigations are on .
Kumar,father of Rekha in his complaint said that Rekha , was eldest daughter among the two children,was married to Manjunath,12 years ago and the couple had two daughters .
Two years ago the couple separated and Rekha along with her daughter moved to Shira where he met Lohitshwa.
Lohitshwa proposed to marry Rekha,when Kumar and his wife visited their daughter few months ago.
The duo along with the children moved to Bengaluru to work and rented a house in Sunkadakatte a month ago .
