The Bagalagunte police have arrested a 30-year-old private firm employee who ganged up with his friend to strangulate the latter’s father to death to make it look like suicide .
However the Post Mortem report revealed the cause of death as strangulation which led the police to probe further and unearth the murder and the motive .
Senior officer said,Manjunatha,resident of Dasarahalli and a carpenter by profession was found dead at his house while his wife and younger son had gone out of the house for doctor’s consultation.
The elder son Manoj,a 10th drop out and unemployed informed his mother that Manjunath had committed suicide by hanging.
The family rushed back home and alerted the police who shifted the body for post-mortem and registered a case of un-natural death.
However the post-mortem revealed that the death was due to strangulation and the police began to probe .
Investigations revealed that the elder son Manoj was unemployed and with bad company.Worried father used to scold and humiliate him regularly to work and earn a livelihood.
However Manoj had different plan ad was eyeing for the share of his property-an ancestral house where two houses has been rented out .
His friends however suggested that its more unlikely that his father would give Manoj his share and suggested him to do something.The accused hatched a plan to eliminate his father to get his share of property .
As per the plan he roped in his friend Praveen Reddy and attacked Manjunath while he was alone at home.They strangled him to death and made it look like he died by hanging .
While the police arrested Praveen Reddy and Manoj and are investigating further to ascertain the cause of murder.
