The Tilaknagar police have registered a case of murder against a youth and his female friend after the former stabbed his 21-year-old friend to death over a row over affair with girl in Jayanagar on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Jeevan,staff of a delivery executive for a online portal while the accused Kiran,worked as sales staff at a showroom.
According to the police the deceased Jeevan was into relationship with his friend Divya and broke up.
Divya later started dating Kiran,who was friend of Jeevan.Divya used to upload pictures of her with Kiran which enraged Jeevan.
Jeevan asked Divya to return his gifts following which Divya and Kiran came to jayanagar to return the gifts.
Heated argument ensued between them which led to scuffle between kiran and jeevan in the melee,kiran Stabbed Jeevan with a knife he carried,killing him on the spot.
Passers by rushed to his help and alerted police who rushed to the spot and shifted him to hospital. kiran also sustained injuries and admitted to hospital for treatment.
Based on the complaint filed by the family of Jeevan, the police have registered a case of murder and awaiting Kiran’s recovery to arrest him .
The police detained Divya and recorded her statement to ascertain facts of the case.
In another incident a body of an unidentified man aged around 40 years was found murdered in kumbalagodu police station limits on Thursday.
Mahimappa, a neighbour noticed the body with multiple i juries on the face and strangulated using a rope found at a vacant site at Kempegowda layout .
Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case of murder and investigations are on to ascertain the deceased identity.
