While tracking down a 17-year-old missing girl,the police have arrested a 24-year-old farm labourer for raping the girl on the pretext of offering shelter .
The accused identified as Nawaz Khan,had befriend the victim while he was living in her neighbourhood in Hosakote .
After moving to Malur for work, the duo used to chat over the phone frequently .
The victim who is studying 2nd Year PU run away from home on August 15 and called Nawaz Khan for help.
The accused gave her sheter at the shed of a farm house where he was working and raped her.The accused even helped her to get a job in a hotel .
Meanwhile parents of the victim searched for their daughter and filed a missing complaint .
The police following a lead track down the victim and rescued her from a hotel where she was working.
A detailed questioning led her to confess.Based on her statement, the police arrested the accused under POCSO for further investigation.
