The scanning time for solid waste collection auto tippers in the Greater Bengaluru area has been revised, resulting in a significant improvement in attendance.
The Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML)CEO,Karee Gowda has announced that due to daily visits by officials to mustering centres, the attendance of auto tippers has now increased to 95%.
Under the limits of the GBA,the Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited has set the auto tippers’scanning schedule from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM.
Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer of BSWML,for the past 15 days, all officials from BSWML have been conducting daily visits to mustering centres to monitor the attendance of both auto tippers and pourakarmikas.
There are approximately 200 mustering centres across the city. Senior officials, including the CEO,COO,4 DGMs, 28 AGMs,the Chief Marshal, and others, are personally visiting these centres every morning to inspect the attendance.
Auto tipper drivers are also being instructed to ensure door-to-door collection and segregation of wet and dry waste.
As a result of these coordinated efforts, the attendance rate of auto tippers has increased from 85% to 95%.This has contributed to a gradual reduction in roadside garbage dumping and improved overall cleanliness in the city.
Further effective measures will be undertaken to maintain and enhance this progress.
*‘Track Duty’ Software Development:
To monitor the inspections being conducted at mustering centers,a digital platform called ‘Track Duty’ has been developed.
This allows for real-time online monitoring of officials’ attendance and field activity, stated BSWML CEO Karee Gowda.
