A 45-year-old labourer was clubbed to death by two of his younger brother over a trivial row over sharing the pension amount at their house in Melya village in Gauribidanur police station limits on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified Narasimhamurthy while the accused Ramaji,39 and Gangadharappa,37 were arrested under murder for further investigation.
According to the police the deceased and accused father Hanumantharayappa was BESCOM employee and after his death his wife used to get the pension.
The trio who are constructions labourers and alcoholic stayed with their mother while their wives and children had left them due to their alcoholic behaviour.
The accused used to fight each other every month to get the share of the pension.
On thursday too the accused had an heated argument with Narasimhamurthy for having bigger share in the melee the Ramaji and GAngadhar ganged up and attacked Narasimhamuthy with a club and killed him on the spot .
The Gauribidanuru police have registered a case of murder and arrested the duo for further investigation.
