Group of People booked by CCB’s Social Media Monitoring Cell for posting abusive and derogatory comments against CM Siddaramaiah

The social media monitoring cell of the Central Crime Branch on Wednesday registered an FIR against a group of people for posting abusive and derogatory comments against chief Minister Siddaramaiah .

Based on the complaint filed by,Shrishaila bagalura,an officer with the Social media monitoring cell,the Cyber crime police station charged the accused identified himself with the FB page account Hanuma Bhakta, charging him under IT act and also under section 299 (criminalises deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage the religious feelings of any class of citizens in India) and 352 (  intentional insult with the intent to provoke a breach of peace ) of BNS.

The accused while commenting on Chief Minister , Siddaramaiah,asking the president of India,whether she know Kannada Language during Diamond Jubilee celebration of the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) in Mysuru on Tuesday.

The accused used abusive,offensive and derogatory words against Mr.Siddaramiah while other identified as Jnaneshwari Vishwanath,Shivashankarappa, Rajashekhar Raju and Siddappa Siddu also posted abuses .

The police are now tracking down the accused based on his FB page account for further investigations.
