A 19-year-old employee was killed in a freak accident while he was carrying a biscuit tray in a hydraulic lift in the factory premises in Just Bake Bindu Recipe Pvt Ltd, Cake Factory,Bettahalasuru Village in Chikkajala police station limits on Tuesday.
Based on the complaint filed by the relative of the deceased,Bhopendra Choudhary, the police have registered an FIR against the owner of Just Bake Bindu Recipes Pvt Ltd,hydraulic lift operator,Lakshmi BK and factory in-charge Rajeshekar and others under BNS Section 106 (causing death by negligence).
According to the FIR,Bhopendra,at the factory two months ago as a helper.Mukesh,his relative and the complainant has been working in the factory for nine years as a cake maker.
On Tuesday,at around 12.35 am,Bhoopendra was going to the second floor from the ground floor on the hydraulic lift carrying biscuits.
He bent down and hit his head against the wall on the second floor, killing him instantly.The other workers rushed to his help and brought him down,but it was too late.
Mukhesh alleged that Bhopendra was not provided any safety equipment and died due to negligence.The police have issued notice to the accused to appear before them for questioning while awaiting post mortem report for further investigation.
