An 80-year-old temple priest was killed when a speeding Electric (EV),BMTC bus knocked him down on Channasandra main road on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Narayana Shastri, priest of a temple near-by was walking towards the MVJ bus stop when the bus coming from hope farm knocked him down.
Shastri sustained severe injuries and rushed to Vydehi hospital where he succumbed later.The Mahadevapura traffic police arrested the bus driver,Gangaraju,charging him under death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving for further investigation.
