A 26-year-old car driver who crashed into series of vehicles in an inebriated state was thrashed by agitated public tied to a police before he was handed over to the police .
The accused Sachin,from gulbarga,working in a private firm,borrowed the car from his friend and drove after consuming alcohol in Atturu layout on Tuesday.
He lost control and knocked down a moped rider.The rider sustained multiple fractures and escaped narrowly from being run over .
Panicked sachin accelerated further investigation a bid to escape and crashed into few more vehicles before coming to halt.
The angry public dragged him out thrashed him black and blue before he was tied to the pole .
The Yelahanka traffic police rushed to the spot and escorted to the police station for further investigation.
He was subjected to medical examination and found under the influence of alcohol.
The accused was booked under drunk driving , rash and negligent driving and endangering the lives of others .
