In a freak accident,a 41-year-old private firm employee was killed when a snake slithered into his crocs bite him in Bannerghatta police station limits on Saturday .
The deceased Manju Prakash,resident of Ranganatha layout and living with his family comprising of wife,two children,mother,brother and his family .
Senior officer told reporters that the incident occurred at around 12.30 pm when Manju Prakash ventured out of the house to buy sugar cane for his mother.
He returned home handed over the juice to his sister in law asking her to give it to mother and went to the room to sleep.
Later after one hour when the family went to wake him up,he was frothing from his mouth and found a bite mark on the toe.
The family rushed him to a near-by hospital where the doctor declared him as brought dead and cited snake bite is the reason for his death.
The family members reached home and began to search to find the dead snake (a small russel wiper)inside the croc.The police suspect that the snake unable to come out suffocated to death .
Probe revealed that Manju Prakash had lost sense on his leg due to a road accident in 2016.This is the reason he did not realize the snake bite and returned home tired and slept.The poison spread quickly and he died while sleeping, police said quoting the doctor .
The Bannerghatta police have registered a case of un natural death and awaiting post mortem report to rule out any foul play .
The area where Manju residence is put up situated adjacent to forest with lot of greenery,His family requested the neighbours to be careful and check footwears while wearing them.
