Habitual offender and three others arrested by Chamarajpet police for stabbing two including head constable on duty

The Chamarajpet police have arrested a habitual offender and three others for stabbing two people including a head constable when they tried to intervene and pacify a dispute between him and his former wife on Friday .

The injured,Santhosh,the head constable with the Chamarajpet police station and Mohammed Shafiullah, brother of the Tabrez alias Chor Tabrez’s ex wife .

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner with other senior officers who were on special night rounds visited the spot and after collecting information said that,Tabrez recently got out of prison after serving time in a murder case registered with the Tilaknagar police.

After his release,he approached Shafiulla’s niece Muskan,who is now married to another man.

On July 25,Shafiullah visited Muskan’s house as part of routine visit when Tabrez visited the house and began to argue with Muskan’s husband.When Shafiullah tried to intervene,he was attacked.

Meanwhile,Santhosh,the policeman,was at a close by hotel to have dinner overheard the commotion and went to check .

He tried to pacify Tabrez who was armed and furious.In the commotion Tabrej stabbed Santosh on his wrist and fled the scene before Hoysala reached the spot .

The injured were take to the hospital and were said to be out of danger .

Based on the complaint the police track down Tabrez and arrested him along with three of his relatives including a minor on the charges of abetment to the crime.

Seemanth Kumar Singh Commissioner of Police warned Anti-Social elements who are taking law in their hand and even attacking police personnel will be dealt with stringent action as he appeals to citizens abide by law and respect police personnel who are on duty for our safety.
