Bengaluru IAS Officer’s Hidden Rs.9 crore Wealth Sparks Corruption Storm:
Karnataka Lokayukta Police have conducted search operations across the state in connection with complaints regarding disproportionate asset cases registered against 8 Government Officers in Lokayukta Police Stations of Bengaluru City-3,Mysuru-1, Tumakuru-1,Kalaburagi-1,Koppal-1,and Kodagu-1.
On 23.07.2025,simultaneously searches at the residences,offices and residences of the relatives of the concerned Accused Government Officers were conducted at more than 41 places.
A prominent female IAS officer,Vasanthi Amar BV,has found herself under the spotlight following an extensive Lokayukta investigation into unexplained assets among government officials.
Vasanthi,who currently holds the position of Special Deputy Commissioner at Karnataka’s Railway Infrastructure Development Company (K-RIDE),played a leading role in the land acquisition process for the transformative Bengaluru Suburban Railway Project.

Investigators searched five different locations tied to IAS Vasanthi.These efforts exposed assets totalling about Rs.9.03 crore.
