In order or tackle the burning traffic problem in the city, city police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh said that the law and order police will pitch in and help the traffic counterparts to identify traffic blackspots in the city .
Replying to a question on plans to address the traffic situation at the media interaction session held at press club on Thursday,Mr.Singh said that it is challenging to manage the 1.3 crore registered vehicles plying on the road apart from the number of floating vehicles .
The traffic police are on the job coordinating with the traffic management centre to ensure smooth flow of traffic .
There are many issues which need immediate and long term solutions,being taken on priority level .
Identifying the area having traffic jams which needed attention.Even many a times the law and order police who are on rounds get to know traffic issues and can pass on the information to the traffic counterparts with the suggestions to tackle them effectively .
This coordination and exchange of ideas will be effective in managing the traffic at micro and macro level he added .
