Zonal Commissioner (East) Snehal has directed officials to issue notices and impose fines on owners of vacant plots where waste and debris are being dumped.
During a public grievance redressal program held today at the Zonal Commissioner’s office(East),the Commissioner received several complaints from residents.
One resident highlighted the accumulation of waste and construction debris in vacant plots in the H.R.B.R Layout, causing inconvenience to neighboring residents.
Responding to the grievance, the Zonal Commissioner instructed officials to issue notices and levy fines on property owners if waste or construction debris is found accumulated in their vacant plots,as it causes inconvenience to the public.
*Instructions for Repair of Burial Ground:
Officials were directed to inspect the burial ground in K.S.F.C Layout and take appropriate action to carry out necessary repairs at the site.
*Cleanliness Drive Ordered:
In H.R.B.R Layout,it was observed that several unallocated and unclaimed plots have become dumping grounds for waste and are being misused.
The Zonal Commissioner instructed officials to clean the area next Friday and directed that the site be repurposed for public use.
*Prompt Response to Complaints:
During the grievance redressal event,the Zonal Commissioner emphasized the need for quick response to public complaints.Citizens thanked the Zonal Commissioner for addressing their issues directly.
*23 Complaints Received:
A total of 23 complaints were received today.The Zonal Commissioner instructed concerned officials to resolve these issues within a stipulated timeframe.
*Key Complaints Submitted by the Public:
1.Request to provide water facilities and other amenities at the Bamboo Bazaar City Library.
2.Appeal to remove the dilapidated structure and ensure water supply at the Haines Road City Central Library branch.
3.Complaints regarding illegal constructions causing inconvenience to neighbors and a request for their removal.
4.Proposal to convert the BBMP community hall in K.S.F.C Layout into a public library.
5.Request to install streetlights in several areas of the zone.
6.Appeal for proper maintenance of “Namma Clinic.”
7.Complaints that footpaths are being encroached upon by roadside vendors,obstructing pedestrian movement; a request was made to clear these encroachments.
8.Request to address the issue of unallocated and unclaimed plots.
9. Appeal for repairs to the pedestrian pathway on Haines Road.
The program was attended by Joint Commissioner, Saroja,Deputy Commissioner,Raju,Chief Engineer Suguna,Health Officer,Bhagyalakshmi,Executive Engineers,Assistant Executive Engineers,DGM,AGM, BWSSB officials,and other relevant authorities.
