IAS officer booked for allegedly passing an illegal order related to land

An IAS officer was booked by the Halasuru Gate police for allegedly passing an illegal order related to a land.

The FIR was registered on Tuesday following the complaint by a KAS officer.The police first registered the NCR and converted it to an FIR after a nod by a City Court.

In his complaint,Prashanth Khangouda Patil accused Vasanti Amar,who was at the time of the incident was the Special Deputy Commissioner-3,Bengaluru North,of passing an illegal order on a land located in Dasanapura.

The incident as per the FIR occurred between June and September 2024.The police opened the case under BNS section 257 (Public servant in judicial proceeding corruptly making report, etc., contrary to law). Further probe is underway.
