A week after Gokarna police rescued 40-year-old Russian Woman and her two minor daughters aged six and four from a cave in the Ramateertha hills on Wednesday,the police sent the trio to Foreign restriction centre in Tumakuru until repatriation .
A team of Gokarna police escorted the trio to the restriction centre situated in Dibbur in Tumakuru,as according to the officials that there is a possibility that she may disappear and indulge in undesirable activities if not kept under close watch.
The woman identified as identified as Nina Kutina alias Mohi,along with her two daughter was living in near-complete isolation for nearly two weeks.
According to the police,she came to India on a business visa,which expired in 2017.
The Gokarna police who were on routine patrolling duty on Wednesaday evening found her in the cave and along with the help of others rescued her .
She told the police that she had come to Gokarna from Goa and stayed in a cave to meditate as she is inclined towards spirituality.She was practicing meditation and Hindu rituals inside the cave.
The area where she was living in termed dangerous after July 2024 landslide incident.The officials counselled her and managed to convince that how staying in the cave is unsafe for her and her children .
The police along with forest officials also started combing operation in the area after she told the police that she had lost her passport and travel documents .
After several hours of search operations the officials found the Passport and Visa which had expired on April 17, 2017.
The FRRO Goa on April 19,2018 issued exit permit from there she went to Nepal and returned to India again,M. Narayana,Superintendent of Police, Uttara Kannada district,told reporters.
