The Marathahalli police have arrested two lecturers of a private college among three persons for raping a college students after blackmailing her with the videos and photos.
The incident came to light when the accused started blackmailing her demanding more sexual favours.
Unable to bear the harassment,the victim,shared her ordeal with the parents and they along with the victim approached state women commission.
Based on the direction of the women’s commission,the Marathahalli police registered a case of rape and blackmail and arrested the trio .
Senior officer told reporters that the victim is a student of a college in Moodabidri where the accused Narendra teaching Physics and Sandeep teaching Biology in the same college .
The accused Narendra befriended the victim offering to share notes and lured her by chatting with her frequently.
The victim had visited the city for some work following which Narendra on the pretext of sharing more notes took her to his friend Anoop’s house in Marathahalli and raped her.He later threatened her not to reveal this to anyone .
The accused bragged this with his friend Sudeep who started blackmailing the victim seeking sexual favours , that he had videos and pictures of her and will make it public if she did not cooperate and raped her too.
After few days Anoop the house owner and friend of the two accused started blackmailing the victim claiming that he had CCTV footage and raped her .
The police have taken the trio into custody and probing further if the accused were involved in similar crime .
