Under the leadership of the Zonal Commissioner,a pedestrian pathway encroachment clearance drive was conducted at multiple locations within the limits of the BBMP South Zone.
*The locations where the encroachment clearance drive was carried out today are as follows:
1.Basavanagudi Division:Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple Street,Basavanagudi.
2.B.T.M Layout Division:From Forum Mall on 20th Main Road,Laskar Hosur Road,up to the Indoor Stadium on 80 Feet Road.
3.Chickpet Division:From Kanakanapalya,Jayanagar 8th Main Road,to Pattalamma Main Road.
4.Jayanagar Division:From 32nd ‘E’ Cross,4th ‘T’Block, Jayanagar to Marenahalli Road (Metro Road).
5.Padmanabhanagar Division:From the Kadirenahalli Underpass to the Katriguppe Signal.
6.Vijayanagar Division:From Attiguppe Petrol Bunk on Chord Road to Skyline Apartments.
During the operation,unauthorized sheds,pushcarts, illegally placed shop materials, sheets,and other encroachments on pedestrian pathways were removed.
As per the directions of the Chief Commissioner,such encroachment clearance drives will continue to be conducted on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays,and 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month.
All individuals who have encroached upon pedestrian walkways are hereby advised to vacate the spaces voluntarily.
*Cleanliness Campaign:
As part of the cleanliness drive within the BBMP South Zone, waste, debris, and solid waste from roadside margins and pedestrian walkways were cleared in areas including the National College Flyover,Kadirenahalli, Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple Street in Basavanagudi, Marenahalli Main Road,Binni Workers’Colony,Yarab Nagar,and several other locations.
Senior officials including the Chief Engineers, Executive Engineers, and other personnel were present during the operation.
