Woman Alleges Gang-Rape,Extortion At Friend’s House In Bengaluru’s Doddanagamangala,four arrested by Parapanna Agrahara police

The Parapanna Agrahara police on Wednesday arrested four men for allegedly gang raping a 34-year-old woman who was at her male friend house and later robbed cash and escaped with goods from the house .

The incident took place near Sai Layout in Doddangamangala on Monday night.

The accused have been identified as Raghu alias Appu (23),Kenchegowda (26),Madesha (27),and Shashikumar (24).

Senior officer told reporters that the victim had gone to her male friend Nagesh’s house on invitation in Sai Layout on Monday night.

Nagesh had called Raghu to introduced to her but he hatched a plan and arrived with three others.

The accused allegedly barged into the house, threatened the woman and Nagesh with police case,and assaulted them before gang raping her.

They later demanded that money and forced them to transfer to an Online gaming application.Based on the demand the woman transferred Rs.12,000, while Nagesh transferred Rs.8,000.

The accused then called a mini goods vehicle and looted household items,including a television, refrigerator,and washing machine,along with two mobile phones,before fleeing the scene.The accused also threatened the duo against approaching the police,the police said.

The police further added that the victim filed a complaint on Monday night.Based on CCTV footage and other evidence,the four accused were arrested.

A case has been registered under sections related to gang rape,robbery and criminal intimidation.The accused will be produced before the court.

The police also recorded the statement of the mini goods vehicle driver and Nagesh for further investigation.

The prime accused according to the police is a hotel employee and addicted to online gaming.The accused had incurred loss and hatched a plan to extort the money from Nagesh and the victim taking advantage of their relationship,the officer,said .

The accused have been produced before the court and taken into custody for further investigation.
