Bengaluru Techie arrested for killing wife by choking on her neck with foot after fight Over Going Out to Shop

A 29-year-old engineer was killed by her husband by stomping her to death in front of their minor daughters over a domestic row at their house in Bommanahalli on Tuesday.

The accused took the wife to a near-by hospital when she was motionless,and the doctors after examining her declared dead before alerting the police .

The police rushed to the spot and conducted a probe and also questioned the neighbour who told the police that they overheard couple argument on the fateful night .

The police later asked the daughter aged 3.5 years who narrated the incident following which the police arrested Harish Kumar.

Sarah Fathima,DCP,Southeast Division,said that the couple native of Srinivasapura and staying in Bengaluru.

While the deceased Padmaja,a BE graduate in electronics and communication,working in a private firm, Harish Kumar,a civil engineer worked at a private firm and currently unemployed.

The couple had two daughter aged 3.5 and 1.5 years old.Off later Harish Kumar used to come home drunk and fight with Padmaja over trivial issues .

On the fateful day,Harish came home drunk and fought with Padmaja objecting her for going to shopping.

Heated argument turned ugly when Harish Kumar assaulted her and strangled her.When Padma fell on the ground due to the attack the accused in a fit of rage stomped on her neck .

The police have charged Harish Kumar with murder and taken him into custody for further investigation.
