The srirampura police have booked a driver of a car for damaging another car and flashed a machette at the driver threaten to kill him over a road rage incident near okalipuram bridge on Monday.
The incident occurred when innova car driver carrying passenger while passing through touched by another car.
He stopped the car in the middle,rushed towards the driver carrying a machete kept it at his neck threaten to chop off his head and smashed the window.
The passengers in the car scared and started shouting for help prompting passers by to rush to their help.
The driver tried to escape leaving the car but the police rushed to the spot and detained the driver .
The cars which were stranded in the middle of the road cause huge traffic jam.
The police pulled out the car off road to allow the traffic movement.
Police have also seized the car and recorded the statement of both the drivers before taking a case against the innova driver.
The police have seized the machete and investigation are on to ascertain why the driver had kept the weapon in the car.
