Fake Surety racket busted two middlemen arrested by Halasurgate police for their involvement

The Halasurgate police on Friday busted a fake surety racket and arrested two middlemen who are creating fake documents to facilitate surety for accused involved in different cases .

The racket is not only helping the accused to get out on bail easily but also giving tough time to the police and the court officials for sometime .

The racket came to light when Police Sub Inspector, Bhagavanthray Mashyal,attached to Halasurugate station,based on a tip off raided Bannappa park on KG road,a 250 meters away from the station and caught , the duo red handed .

Senior officer told reporters it was revealed that accused,Abid wasim,46,resident of Gurappanapalya in BTM layout and his assistant,Ahmed Zubair,23 from Yeshwanthpur.

The police recovered bag full of KSRTC salary slip photocopies,copies of RTC mutation of different land, Aadhar cards with several photographs and a seal .

The accused confessed that they are creating and selling the fake documents to help the accused to avail bail .

Inquiries revealed that the accused would download the property documents copies from the government website and create fake aadhar cards morphing the photographs of the person who will submit surety papers for the bail .

The accused have a different rate cards for different cases based on the gravity of the cases,a police officer, said.

Citing an example the accused would charge anything between Rs.15,000 to Rs.50,000 based on the case and create the fake documents accordingly .

The duo have charged with section 318(4) ( cheating that involves the dishonest inducement to deliver property or create or alter a valuable security), 336 ( forgery), 340 ( Forged document or electronic record and using it as genuine),341 (offenses related to counterfeit seals, plates, or other instruments used for forgery) and 61 (  criminal conspiracy) of BNs and further investigation is on to ascertain possible involvement others.
