The Govindarajnagar police are on the lookout for two men on motorcycle who attacked a 77-year-old woman to rob her valuables on 11th Main Road,Subbanna Garden,Vijayanagar on Wednesday morning.
The victim,Indira Honnagangaiah,resident of Bapuji Layout was on her way to morning walk at around 9.30 when the duo confronted her and tried to snatch her gold chain.
In the melee,the gold chain snapped and fell on the road and the duo sped away.
Shocked Indira picked up the chain and put in her purse and started walking.Within ten minutes the duo returned and snatched her purse and sped away.
The purse contains 40 grams of gold chain worth three lakhs,a mobile phone and cash Rs.400,the victim returned home and later approached the police.
