A body of woman aged around 35 years was found packed in sack and dumped in a garbage truck in Channamanakere Acchukattu on Sunday.
Senior officer told reporters, During inspecting the spot we found body was semi disrobed,tied up and stuffed into a sack,dumped in the garbage truck parked on road side sometime between Saturday night and early Sunday.
The incident came to light when a resident,who came to dispose of garbage,grew suspicious on noticing the sack and alerted the police in the early hours of Sunday. Police personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
Based on nearby CCTV footage,we suspect the body may have been transported to the spot in an autorickshaw.
The police inspector of CK Acchukattu Girish Naik and his team later identified the deceased as Pushpa alias Asha,resident of Hulimavu and working in private firm as contract employee.
Probe revealed that Asha was married to a man from different community two years ago and the duo had recently had a fight over family feud.
We suspect that the assailant suspect to be husband killed Asha stuffed in a sack carried the body in Autorickshaw and dumped it on the parked garbage truck .
The team are now on the lookout for the suspect who is said to be on the run.
