“An Additional Loan Burden of Rs 1 Lakh Per Person Has Been Imposed”.
The state government is financially bankrupt and they don’t have a white paper, but a black paper, said MP and former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
He alleged that the government has imposed an additional debt burden of Rs.1 lakh on every individual in the state.Do they still need a white paper bigger than this?.
Speaking to the media in Haveri on Thursday,he said Home Minister Dr.G.Parameshwara himself admitted that the government has no funds. For how long can the truth be hidden with lies?.
The truth must come out.If Parameshwara says something, it’s as good as Lord Shiva saying it,”he quipped.
Asked whether the BJP is insisting on a white paper on the state’s economic condition, the former CM said the Congress government does not have a white paper—it has a black paper.
The government is financially bankrupt. Prices and taxes have increased across the board.Do they need a bigger white paper than this?.
People are experiencing the burden every day. Each family is bearing an annual burden of Rs.50,000. Every person in every family is now shouldering an additional Rs 1 lakh in debt. Isn’t that enough of a white paper?.
Housing Scam :
About the housing scam, the MP said MLA B.R.Patil was the first to raise his voice. Now he has gone silent. What is Patil saying now?.
He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Planning Commission. Maybe they will consider him for a Cabinet post during the next expansion.
On BJP State President Vijayendra and Opposition Leader R.Ashoka visiting Delhi, he said they go to Delhi for their work and come back. They don’t need to respond to every such visit.
Negligence of agri dept:
On farmers not getting sufficient seeds and fertilizers, Bommai said he recently raised concerns about soybean seeds in Ranebennur, where substandard seeds were sold and a case has been filed. It’s raining now, but fertilizers are unavailable.
Due to heavy rains, there is a dire need for urea, but there is a shortage.Whatever stock came was sold off wholesale for profit.
He directly accuse the Agriculture Department—they sold it for money. Urea is critically essential now, but it’s not being distributed—neither to cooperative societies nor to local dealers.
During monsoon, farmers must get what they need. It doesn’t matter who comes or goes in the district—what matters is timely support for farmers. The Agriculture Department has completely neglected Haveri district.
