Software Engineer critically injured after roadside tree branch fallen on him near KR circle

A 25-year-old software engineer was critically injured after a roadside tree branch fell on him near K R Circle close to PWD Office,Nrupatunga Road on Monday.

The victim,Mayur Kumar, resident of Nagavara was on his way to work on a scooter when the branch fell on him.He sustained head injuries and fell unconscious.

A traffic policeman on duty rushed to his help and shifted him to St.Martha’s hospital where doctor after CT scam advised surgery and is presently in ICU.

Anuradha HM,mother of the victim in her complaint to the Halasurugate police stated that the Mayur is critically wounded and the doctor told him that the cost of the treatment estimated to be Rs.15 lakh.

She further alleged BBMP forest cell officials negligence and failed to maintain roadside trees led to the accident .

Based on her complaint the police have registered an FIR against BBMP officials charging them under section 125(b) (endangering life or personal safety) for further investigation.

It may be recalled that on last Sunday Akshay Shivaram, a 29-year-old HR executive had suffered severe injuries to his skull and brain after a tree branch fell on his head, while he was riding his scooter on 16th Main Road near the Brahma Chaitanya Temple,succumbed on Thursday.

Based on the complaint filed by his parents,the Hanumanthnagar police have registered an FIR against the Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) and the Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF),BBMP forest cell charging them under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of BNS.
