5-6 Men Under Influence Of ‘Marijuana’ Assault, Molest women a beautician In Broad Daylight In Bengaluru.
A 26-year-old beautician was sexually harassed,and assaulted by a group of drunk men after she objected to their Sexual overtures in full public view in the outskirts of the city in Bannerghatta on Sunday.
Humiliated and embarrassed,the victim called her friend, a gym trainer for help,who reached the spot and assaulted one of them black and blue and he eventually hospitalised.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV camera, based on which the Bannerghatta police have arrested the accused charging him under sexual harassment , outraging the modesty,assault and criminal intimidation for further investigation.
According to the police,the victim,was out to buy groceries around 4 pm yesterday in Renuka Yellamma Layout near Mailasandra,
The accused who are under the influence of alcohol and drugs confronted her and harassed her soliciting sexual favours .
The CCTV footage showed the accused misbehaved with her by gesture and verbally and even tried to touch her inappropriately .
The victim,objected and shouted back raising alarm for which the accused slapped her and manhandled her when she tried to escape .
The men reportedly thrashed her when she tried to resist the harassment and defend herself.In the clip,she was seen trying to fight back. Passers-by rushed to her and she escaped and called her male friend to narrate the ordeal .
Furious by this,the gym trainer reached the spot within a minute and spotted one of the accused and thrashed him black and blue.
The injured was later rushed to the hospital and the police were alerted.
The victim later filed a complaint based on which the police have arrested the accused.The accused has also filed a counter complaint alleging assault .
The police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
