DNA Networks director,police officers depose before DC as part of magisterial inquiry into stampede

Continuing probe in the stampede incident,District Commissioner of Bengaluru urban on Monday issued notice to,B Dayananda,who was commissioner of city police and later suspended for failing to act in the stampede case.

The Magisterial inquiry led by Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner Jagadeesha G had questioned over 40 police personnel including senior police officials of the rank of DCPs,ACPs and other police personnel who are deployed for the security cover.The committee questioned the officials role and action taken before recording their statement .

The DC also summoned victims and the accused in the case and the families of the deceased.

This is the second time,Mr.Dayananda had been issued notice to appear .

According to the sources,Mr.Dayananda had sought time citing personal reason.

While the Magisterial inquiry is on,the judicial inquiry constituted a one-man inquiry commission under retired High Court judge john Michael D’cunha has begun.
