Amidst probing extortion case involving former Superintendent of Police,The Lokayukta officials on Wednesday caught Executive Engineer of BBMP,red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.10 lakh for an official favour.
The accused HV Yarappa Reddy,working in BBMP,CV Raman Nagar office demanded the bribe from Hemanth GM,contractor to move the file to clear pending bills .
Unable to pay the amount,Hemanth filed a complaint and a team caught Reddy red handed while accepting the bribe.
He was booked under Prevention of corruption Act and later raided his house to recover gold and silver articles along with the incriminating documents from the house for further investigation.
