Schools authority that hired drivers found drunk will be held accountable &drive to be enhanced for students & road safety Says Seemanth Kumar Singh

Growing concerned over the surprise checks on school drivers for drunk driving where the traffic police booked as many as 58 drivers,city police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh,said that the drive will continue to ensure road safety .

All the 58 drivers who are booked and their DLs seized in a three hour long drive across the city,the DLs have been sent to the RTOs concerned for suspension .

The alcohol consumption checked on the drivers are more than permissible limits and the drivers are putting the safety of school children at risk,Mr.Singh,said .

The schools concerned which hired these drivers will also be held accountable and the police officials concerned have been asked to question the schools who hired the drivers caught in special drive.

The traffic police have been asked to create awareness among the schools and colleges to ensure their drivers should adhered to the road safety.
