The Bellanduru police have arrested a 40 year old assistant of a temple in trissur for sexually harassing a 38 year old private firm employee on the pretext of performing pooja to ward off evil.

he accused Arun TA, a BA graduate working as assistant to priest in vishnu murthy temple in Thrissur Kerala.
The victim According to the complaint is a widow and working as filed executive at a private firm,had gone to Thrissur temple seeking devine intervention for the problems he is facing after the death of her husband.
The accused told her that somone had done black magic and promised to perform pooja to ward off evil.
The accused took her contact number and started calling and harassing her sexually on video calls.
He even sexually assaulted her when she had visited the temple and threatened to perform black magic on her two children if she did not co-operate.The accused even video recorded his act and blackmailed her demanding sexual favours.
The victim cooperated with them and later when harassment and black mail continue the victim narrated her ordeal with her relatives and filed a complete on June 13.
Based on the complaint the police arrested the accused and further investigation are on to ascertain possible role of others .
