State to receive Rs.1 Lakh crore more under 15th finance commission compared to previous commission.

Former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai said that compared to the 14th Finance Commission, Karnataka will receive over Rs.1 lakh crore more under the 15th Finance Commission from the central government and accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of making political statements against the Centre because he is unable to allocate funds for the guarantee schemes.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday,he said the CM has not said anything new—he has repeatedly made false statements.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had increased the central grant share from 32 per cent to 42 per cent. This is a 10 per cent increase, which Siddaramaiah is aware of but deliberately conceals.

Everyone has demanded that this share be increased from 40 per cent to 50 per cent.During the discussions on the 14th Finance Commission, five Congress ministers were present, but they failed to advocate effectively for the state, and are now trying to cover up their mistakes with such statements.

If injustice was done to the state the Congress party is squarely responsible for it.

The MP reiterated that compared to the 14th Finance Commission, the state will get Rs.1 lakh crore more under the 15th Finance Commission.

The state has already received as much as it got during the 14th Finance Commission period, and funds will continue to come for the next two years.

Bommai said during the UPA regime, the state received only Rs.700 crore for railway projects. This year, the central government has allocated Rs.7,700 crore.

But the state government is unable to provide the matching grant. The central government is also providing funds for health, rural development, and road infrastructure projects, but the state government does not acknowledge this,he alleged.

No authority for caste survey

He said that the authority to conduct a caste survey lies with the central government. The Chief Minister is merely trying to mislead the backward classes.

He has been the CM for ten years,so why didn’t he conduct the caste survey then? Siddaramaiah is in a tight spot over the issue, and the high command had to step in to rescue him.Only a caste survey conducted by the Centre will be considered final”.

Stop War:

The BJP MP commented on the situation in West Asia, calling Israel’s attack on Iran shocking. He noted that even the United States has convened an emergency meeting over the matter.

“With the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war already affecting the world significantly, all global leaders must now work towards halting the wars,”he urged.
