A 30-year-old woman helped the Varthur police to crack murder case and arrest of 24-year-old cook in a hotel who had murdered her husband and dumped the body over a row over fight on April 11.
The Varthur police found the highly decomposed body of a man in a open drain in Chikka Bellanduru and later identified as Deepak Bahaddur Bist by his wife Sushma Gurang.
The police had taken up a case of Un natural death and there was no progress until Sushma approached the police stating that her husband was murdered by Vikas Bahaddur Biswa.
Based on her information,the police picked up Vikas and a detailed questioning led him to confess to the crime .
Senior officer said on April 11,Deepak had a fight with Sushma over a domestic row.Deepak used to have frequent fights with Sushma and beat her up.
Vikas who was staying close by noticed the fight and tried to intervene.Deepak who was in an inebriated state enraged by Vikas intervention and assaulted him too. Vikas sustained injuries on his eyebrow and left the place.
Humiliated and beaten Vikas wanted to take revenge and confronted Deepak few days later and beat him to death before dumping his body in drain.
Since Deepak had a habit of missing from home , Sushma waited for his return and later filed a missing complaint .
Meanwhile the police recovered the decomposed body from the drain and approached Sushma who identified him with a scar mark on the chest.
While the police initial thought Deepak could have slipped and died accidentally in an inebriated state.
Meanwhile Vikas while bragging about his bravery revealed how he killed Deepak with one of his relative, who is an acquaintance of Sushma shared the news .
Sushma approached the police and shared the details seeking detailed probe,which led the police to crack the case and converted into murder and arrested the accused.
