The Peresandra police of Chikkaballapur district arrested a gang of seven who had stolen a consignment of brand new mobile phones worth rupees three Crore which they are supposed to deliver from Noida to Bengaluru.
The accused working as drivers for a private transport were on the way to Bengaluru with the consignment of 257 boxes of total 5140 of mobile phones to be delivered to different mobile shops across Bengaluru.
The accused on the way abandoned the truck near a
Dhaba and escaped with the mobile phones .
Based on the complaint,a team of police track down the accused identified as Rahul,Sakrulla,Imran,Mustafa, Yousuf,Abhijit Paul,Anoop Roy from Haryana,Rajasthan and West Bengal and recovered 57 mobile phones from them.
The accused had sold the rest of the phones in Delhi and different parts states across the country,which have been blocked with the help of department of Telecommunication.
