massive tree got uprooted and fell on Krumbigal Road near the Lalbagh Main Gate,leading to a major traffic disruption on Thursday night.The road was shut between Main Gate to West Gate for a long time.
Authorities were forced to close the road,diverting traffic towards Lalbagh Fort Road.The sudden change led to confusion among commuters,resulting in congestion at the Lalbagh Main Gate junction.
Additional Traffic police were deployed at the site to manage the situation,while officials from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) were alerted to clear the obstruction.
The incident occurred at around 10 pm few vehicles passing by escaped narrowly as the tree uprooted city market traffic police rushed to the spot and diverted the traffic to the adjacent roads
BBMP forest cell officials reached the spot and removed the fallen tree.
No one was injured but traffic was disrupted for over half an hour,a senior police officer,said.
