Bomb threat email sent to Bengaluru airport amid Aero India 2025

The Kempegowda International Airport Police gets a hoax email on Saturday threatening to carry out drone attack on landing flights .

Security personnel soon after receiving mail carried out SOP check before concluding that it was a hoax mail and filed a complaint with the police for further action.

According to the complaint by Mohammed Zahir,airline staff, an email from Mahanteshs6899@proton.me was mailed to the official ID warning about drone attack on the landing flights at Bengaluru,Chennai and Kerala airport if he did not get reply for his letter from, Basavaraj Bommai,former Chief Minister of Karnataka .

The police are now trying to track down the source of the email,which was intended to create panic among the passengers and staff .

Based on the complaint,the police have registered a case against the unknown person charging him under section 125 ( endangering safety of others) 351 ( criminal intimidation) and 353 ( public mischief ) of BNS for further investigation.
