Notorious Habitual mobile offender arrested by Chandra Layout Police recovered 8 stolen mobile phones worth Rs.1.27 Lakh

The Chandra Layout Police have arrested a habitual offender and recovered eight mobile phones worth Rs. 1.27 lakh from him.

The accused roped in juvenile to snatch phones while riding pillion and he ride around on a scooter targeting people walking alone with mobile phones.

Using the similar MO,the accused had snatched a mobile phone from a man who was on his morning walk on August last year.

Based on the complaint the police analysed hundreds of CCTV cameras before zeroing in on the juvenile at his house in Padarayanapura.

The juvenile was taken into custody for questioning and later released him with a warning after he gave the police the name of his associate.

Armed with the information the police track down the accused and recovered eight mobile phones which he had robbed from different places and was about to sell in the grey market .

The accused was booked under robbery and demanded him to judicial custody,the police said.
