Man strangulated his wife to death over domestic row in Bengaluru

The Chandra Layout police are on the lookout for a 38-year-old welder who allegedly strangling his wife to death over domestic row and on the run with a four-year-old son.

The accused has been identified as Imran Khan,a welder by profession,living with his wife Ghousia,31,and son at their house in Gangondanahalli.

Senior officer told reporters,the murder occurred on the night of November 22 and an FIR was registered on Sunday after Ghousia’s body was discovered by her brother Zameer Ullah Khan on November 23.

Probe revealed that Khan had married Ghousia in August 2019.The couple had son named Mohammed Raheem Ullah Khan.

Zameer,in his complainant,alleged that Khan,was initially good with Ghousia for the better part of their marriage but began quarrelling with her in the last five to six months,suspecting her fidelity .

Ghousia’s family had intervened once and managed to pacify the situation, the FIR noted.

Still,recently the deceased moved back to her parent’s place due to the alleged quarrelling and returned 10 days ago .

Ghousia had allegedly told her family that Khan was threatening her, beating her and quarrelling accusing her of illicit affair .

On November 23,around 11 pm,Zameer, who was away with his family, was informed by his brother Afroz Ullah Khan that the suspect had contacted his boss claiming that he was in urgent need of money due to some issues at home.

Zameer visited Ghousia’s house,along with his friend and another brother, and found Ghousia lying on the bed with a veil tightened around her neck.

A case has been registered in Chandra layout police station and further investigation is on to ascertain the exact reason behind the murder.
