he Bannerghatta police have arrested a 42-year-old man for stabbing his father to death over a trivial row at his house in Bannerghatta in the wee hours of Sunday.
The accused has been identified as Vinod Kumar working as marketing executive for a Granite company .
The accused was living with his parents and younger brother at a rented house in janata colony .
According to the police,the accused was drunk and moving in his under garment at home.
The deceased velayudhan,76,got agitated and shouted at him asking him to wear lungi.
Heated argument ensured in the melee,the accused took the knife from the kitchen and stabbed Velayudhan to death while his mother and younger brother looked on.
They were residing there from last 8 months.
The mother is a 3 stage cancer patient,the brother is a psychic patient and he alone was the earning person at home and the police say that he was angry and frustrated and used have have quarrels at home regarding the same,and as he was drunk the incident happened out of rage.
Hearing the cry of family neighbours rushed to their help and alerted the police.
The police rushed to the spot arrested Vinod and recovered the weapon.
