he Anti Narcotics wing of the Central Crime Branch on Monday busted a drug racket and arrested a Nigerian national who had roped in a local woman as his partner to peddle drugs .
Based on a tip off,a team of officials,track down the accused Micheal Okoli,was arrested from a rented house in Balaji Layout in Yerappanahalli and recovered 1.5 kilos of MDMA worth Rs.1.5 crore and three mobile phones from him.
The police also arrested his female partner Sahana who was living in with him.
Inquiries revealed that the accused was part of the inter state drug racket as the police had arrested his associate earlier in July and recovered 4 klios of MDMA crystals from him.
Based on his information the police arrested Micheal who had come to city on visiting visa and arrested by KR Puram police for peddling drugs in 2018.
He was released on bail and continue to peddle drugs.
The police have booked the duo under NDPS case and remanded to judicial custody while efforts are on to track down the source of drugs .
