Reacting to the incident MP,PC Mohan said on X handle,BBMP’s negligence has claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy,the son of a poor auto-rickshaw driver, who was crushed by a rusty entrance gate at a BBMP park in Bengaluru. This tragic incident was avoidable. Despite clear warnings a year ago, officials failed to repair the gate.

I demand a thorough investigation into this case and push for an immediate audit of all parks to prevent further tragedies. Those responsible must be held accountable and booked for their inaction and neglect.

Such a devastating loss of life due to incompetence cannot be tolerated. BBMP must wake up and ensure safety measures are enforced before more lives are lost.
